OHV Trails in the Western Waterlands of Kentucky: Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle Area has approximately 100 miles of OHV trails within the Land Between the Lakes recreation area in western Kentucky.
Copperhead Run is a 600 acre ATV park near Salem Kentucky
The U.S. Corps of Engineers allow ATV riders in a thousand acre property that adjoins Lake Barkley. Parking for this area is easily accessible from KY 164 near Linton.

Other West to East Bicycle Trails across the State: Mississippi River Trail is a 10-state cycling route in process of development from the headwaters of the Mississippi at Lake Itasca, Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico: 65 miles of the route through Kentucky begins at the brige connecting Cairo Illinois with Wickliffe Kentucky and continues south to the Tennessee Map
Ramblin River Bike Tour across Kentucky - This tour begins at the Mississippi River in Hickman and continues north to Wickliffe where it crosses the Ohio River and continues to follow the Ohio up through Paducah and through the counties of Livingston, Union, Henderson, to Owensboro then rambles down towards the Rough River and then continues eastward through Elizabethtown and Hodgensville and through Falmouth and Vanceburg until it finally ends at Greenbo Lake State Park at the West Virginia line.
Southern Lakes Bike Tour across Kentucky - This tour also begins at the Mississippi River in Hickman. It travels east paralleling Tennessee across the entire state of Kentucky. In the western Kentucky portion, the route goes through Land Between the Lakes and across both Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. It continues eastward crossing Barren River Lake near Lucas and Glasgow then heads south through Tompkinsville over to Dale Hollow Lake. The route touches fingers of Lake Cumberland before continuing into eastern Kentucky through Williamson, Pineville, Oaks, where is crosses the Martins Fork Lake then heads into Harlan, Benham, Lynch and ends at the Virginia State Line.
TheMidland Kentucky Tour follows the Southern Lake Tour from Hickman but splits off at Canton and continues north east through Cadiz up towards Pennyrile State Resort Park then east to Lake Malone State Park then creates a loop, the northern portion going through Morgantown and Brownsville and the southern loop going through Bowling Green, Boyce and Smiths Grove before joining together again at Mammoth Cave National Park and continuing eastward across the state through Greensburg, Campbellsville, Danville, and towns such as Salyersville and Hindman and Prestonsburg before ending at the West Virginia/Kentucky state line near Inez.
South to North Bicycle Tours through Kentucky: Bluegrass Tour starts on the Tennessee/Kentucky line at Jellico and heads north through Williamsburg, and continues north through towns such as Keavy, Bernstadt, Mt Vernon and Berea then splits near Fort Boonesborough State Park and circles around Lexington through Nicholasville, Versailles and Georgetown before coming together at Millersburg and heading past Blue Licks Battlefield State Park for ending at the Ohio/Kentucky State Line at Maysville.
Central Heartlands Tourstarts on the Tennessee/Kentucky line at Dale Hollow Lake State Park then heads north through Burkesville, Columbia, Campbellsville, Bardstown, Shelbyville, Bethleham up to Carrolton where it turns east then north again and ends at the Indiana/Kentucky line at Warsaw.
Mammoth Cave Tour again starts at the Tennessee/Kentucky line but this time near Franklin. It continues north through Boyce, Smiths Grove and into Mammoth Cave where it then heads northwest through Brownsville, Sweeden, Caneyville with a stop at Rough River Dam State Resort Park then north again through McQuady, Dukes and ends at the Ohio River on the Indiana/Kentucky border at Hawesville.
- One is on the North Fork of the Kentucky River and is a 54-mile long canoe route that will begin at Douthitt Park in Jackson and follow the North Fork to St. Helens.
- The other is on the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River which is a 38 mile long canoe route that begins at the Lee County line and ends near the Perry County line.

Knott Countyoffers over 100 miles of trails on a portion of 43,000 acres in the heart of Elk County near Mine Made Paradise Park near Hindman in East Kentucky. Trails open year-round. Annual Spring and Fall Trail Rides attract thousands of riders each year. Additional Trails near Jones Fork and around Carr Creek Lake with permission. 2010 Dates for rides are May 7-9 and October 1-3.
